*The Polish Haitians he briefly mentioned are the descendant of mercenaries hired to fight with the French against the Africans during the Haitian Revolution. For several reasons, they switched sides and joined us. Stayed in the country afterward.

Yeah, they were specifically called out in the first Haitian Constitution on being exempt on the restrictions it put on other Whites for citizenship as well.
