Sohh, whats the sense of Kinnect if it can't scan barcodes?

When it comes to scratching off the back of Microsoft Point Cards, or punching in #'s from a gamestop receipt telling me the code I can use for day 1 DLC for mass effect 3, I'm usually looking like this


Now if I had a Kinnect, i would expect to be able to simply scan these Bar Codes into the kinnect, and prevent me from squinting my eyes and putting in dumb ass codes like

I bolded the most important part of this thread. Because if you did, you'd probably know that it does barcode scans
Certain games come with barcodes to scan into the games to unlock shyt
The yourshape fitness games even let you scan in a gatorade bottle.
Other games scan you or any item into the game.

I personally never even thought of shyt like that. I too get annoyed putting a bunch of shyt in to redeem cards/etc. I'm not trying to input some fukking Wii friend code just to get my points... but then again, you have no choice
To calibrate the Kinect, you have to use a card that Kinect scans just like the way this thread is discussing. But, getting back on topic.
There are a bunch of promotions that use the barcode method for Kinect.
