but yeah, take an intermittent fasting approach to your fast. so basically eat the same amount of calories you'd normally do, but just from iftar to suhoor (sundown till sunrise). :manny: that's what I do at least. get 1g protein per 1lb bodyweight if you tryna retain as much muscle as you can.

do you still exercise during ramadan?

From what I've seen (as in American Muslims), they gain weight. They don't eat anything all day. But once the sun goes down, they feast like its Super Bowl Sunday because they are extra hungry, thus taking in more calories compared to a non-ramadan day.

I've lost 4 pounds so far, some of which is noticeable muscle loss. Today is actually the first day I'm gonna head to the gym since Ramadan started, I just haven't had the energy to do it the past few weeks.

Same thing here bro. I've gained fat and it seems I've lost all my muscle (at least to me anyways :sadcam:.

Lost some muscle I feel on my arms and chest. But more definition and vascularity though. ramadan is basically Intermittent Fasting.

Time to go HARD after Ramadan... The biggest problem I have (I dunno about you guys) is that my stomach shrinks from not eating all day. So even when it's time to break fast, I TRY HARD to eat a lot of protein but simply can't... A few days back, I could barely even finish a 6in sub :to:

I start out breaking my fast with creamy veggie soup and a tall glass of iced tea and of course a few palm dates cuz its tradition. You dehydrated bro, you gotta replenish or even a single chicken wing will have you filled after starving the whole day.

I also drink coffee, I feel it's easier to go ham on all the food when I feel wide awake.

But most importantly, I try to drink 2 protein shakes. One after the iftar and one at the sohor. To this day I failed having 2 a day. I'm lucky when I can find space for 1 protein drink. shyt is hard man, but at the end of the day, we're doing this for Allah.:youngsabo:
