As far as I know the Steiners still have the trademark on the name, hence why they went with Bron Breakker as a name.
Maybe they just didn't want to draw attention to it on the YT channel. Could be any number of reasons.

Who said the beef is WWE's? Steiners own the name. If anything it's likely more on Rick and Scott. More proof of this is because Rick pulled out of a HHavoc appearance.
If they don't want WWE to have it what else can they do but make up something else?
