So, what kind of drugs was the Star Fox SNES developmental team on when they made that "Out Of This Dimension" level?

I still can’t get over the fact that they originally had metal legs

i think that was based on the puppets which had to have moveable joints. they were never intended to be prosthetic limbs but metal boots, but it does look weird.
