I've been seeing a lot of songs being produced in that style, and personally im really feeling, is this a new direction that hip hop is going??

I don't think using lead synths with clubby 808 drums is a new thing...

The Khaled joint was by the Runners and Jim Jonsin did the Usher joint
beat-wise I don't think they sound too much like I'm On One

T-Minus who did I'm On One pretty much remade the beat for DJ Drama (My Moment) and Budden (that Wayne joint) tho

and he remade She Will (Lil Wayne) for Wale (Ambition)

it's wack to remake beats but the artists probably kept saying they want a beat like I'm On One or She Will
