Nah i think even Romney and most republicans can see the writing on the wall. A move like that would be a short term gain if even that. In AZ for instance voting by hispanics went up 200% last election. 500% in some districts.
The thing is that there is now, more than every...or at least in recent history, a very concerted effort by hispanic backed political non profits that are pushing for hispanics to vote. AZ will be flipping blue within the next 10 years, even if they try to deport all the illegals that are here they are going to alienate a very large group of soon to be voters all the while their baby boomer base is slowly dying off.
The long short of it is that older white people in AZ are dying, this has always been the key to winning az btw, we have an entire city out here where you have to be 35+ to even live in it, that city has something like an 89% voter turn out so they get pandered to like a mofo.

basically a house must have at least ONE person over 55 years of age AND NO ONE under 18 years of age may live on a full time basis there (9 days or less).
IT's like a MEGA SUPER retirement community, so mega and super that it is it's own town.

yeah what's crazy is ever few months or so you hear a story about how some grandmother had to take in her grandchildren because their parents died and now they have to leave town

I think they catch is they are a "retirement" community the thing is the community is a whole town and are you going to really be the politician to stand up to a whole town who vote in lock step at a rate of 80+ percent?
They have been sued numerous times for age discrimination and they win each time so I can only assume they are on the up and up.
