Looks like a demo reel used to attain funding. I'm all in, but not expecting the actual game to be anything like this. We really need a Sims competitor, and with the big Korean Culture wave that hit the US during Covid, I can see this taking off.

inZOI is the forth competitor that's gunning for EA's head as there is Paralives (which is a love letter to The Sims), Life by You (a Sims 3 spiritual successor) and Vivaland (a game aiming to achieve on what the Sims 4 failed to be which is a multiplayer focus life simulator).
Life by You is under Paradox Interactive and inZOI is under Krafton, the owners of PUBG. So, that's two AAA publishers and two indie, sims fans don't understand how much of a game changer this is with theses options and if EA doesn't deliver with the Sims 5, it'll make what Cities: Skyline did to SimCity 2013 look amateur.

I'm pretty sure Sims fans understand the playing field
. They stick with The Sims 4 because there's nothing else out there for them. They been more or less complaining about the franchise since The Sims 2.
