A lot of artists get frustrated with the success of "dumb" records.

When you make some mindless banger, it might get some airtime for a lil bit, but then it'll get lost in time and no one will care about it anymore. Plus, some artists are known for being some shyt, so idk if you wanna be known that way. Just be patient and promote yourself.

Some artists feel like if it was harder and more complex for them to make then it is automatically "better"

But in reality all that matters is how it sounds, sometimes less is more. Think about the 'Grindin' beat by Neptunes. shyt's hard, but crazy simple.

Make music, don't be concerned so much with the effort involved, just make it sound the way you want.
