Part 1 was really good.
But for anyone whose read Three Ring Circus, the detective's description of the events that happened around that situation aren't good for anyone whose read them.

You think people would have more smoke for the 🐈-grabbing, insurrectionist (and convicted felon) who just got elected instead of using a dead black man as a scapegoat. Same reason I never believed the allegations against Michael Jackson in Leaving Neverland.

It’s disrespectful and it’s total cowardice. If they’re so sure Kobe was guilty of those crimes then they should have gone after him while he was still alive.

As mentioned above, Part 1 was really good. Positively covered his childhood in ways that I haven't seen anywhere else.
Eagle, Colorado is a part of Kobe's legacy, and they aren't doing their job if they just skip over it. People should wait to see how it's handled, even if it makes some of you uncomfortable.

I don't think you can make an honest documentary about Kobe Bryant without talking about the trial. It would extremely flawed to ignore that part of his life.

That said, it would depend on how everything was presented.
If they're going to use this documentary to try and introduce new, unverified information, or to make sensationalist claims, that's extremely dirty and a vile agenda for a film maker.

You tell the stories, warts and all (Ken Burns included parts about Ali's infidelity, for example) but context matters.
