people are more happy that baseball ended than the nba is starting
I dont get why, the rare times I watch espn (at lunch at work on mute) all they show is football. and more football highlights. and Im a football person, Ive barely seen any baseball on there.
dont really see your point. baseball doesnt get ratings, true. Im also not the biggest fan of it at all, although I root hard for my Giants.Could be because of this...

8:00 FOX 2012 World Series (some pre-game) - Live 5.3/13 17.12
NBC Football Night in America Part 3 - Live 4.9/12 12.61
8:30 NBC NFL: Saints at Broncos Live (8:30-11PM) 6.3/14 16.17
9:00 FOX 2012 World Series - Live 3.7/8 12.37
A blowout regular season football game beat the elimination/clinching game of the World Series. Everyone knew SF was gonna win last night, but people STILL decided to watch football instead b/c of the matchup when it was well over in the 3rd quarter. If it wasn't for the end of the Cowboys/Giants game and post-game, that count wouldn't be 17 million at the start. The football pre-game beat out the World Series...
There's a reason people are clapping over baseball ending. And I actually like baseball. Just is what it is. Congrats to Giants fans. Better luck next year Tigers fans.

theres other shyt that dont get ratings that people dont root hard and celebrate for the season to be over.
my point was they celebrating like baseball was all theyd show on tv...while it was the other way around. football is on like 22/7
I dont disagree...but I dont see how it answers my question. Some people only stick to one thing and that's it. It does get a bit irritating that football is talked about 24/7, but that doesn't mean that sports media will ignore it b/c of the World Series. The ratings was a point to show that people are laughing at baseball's supposed "demise" b/c no one watches it. Numbers look those posted just add fuel to the fire.
But the MLB HAS to do a better job of promoting these teams and matchups. SF/DET should have been at least as popular as STL/TEX but wasn't by any stretch. Cabrera isn't looked the same as Pujols despite winning Triple Crown, Verlander and Cain wasn't as big as Lee in '10 (or hell, even Wilson's popularity), and Posey isn't Hamilton despite hitting as well as he does.
