From what she told me, it's pretty much just a knockoff but it has its twist of Spanish humor, the kind of stuff that couldn't be translated to English easily.
I'll watch it with subs eventually for shyts and giggles

I watched the first episode yesterday.. no subtitles, didn't understand a damn thing what was said but since I've seen the OG version numerous times.. I "got" what was going on and kind of what was being said. LOL.. there are minor differences, but it's pretty much an exact copy... but from what I've read novellas pretty much air nightly.. they don't do seasons like that... so this show is gonna have a full run nightly for about 2 or 3 months and do the whole show..
I'm going to watch it when I can just to see the differences. I want to watch that telenovela about Griselda Blanco that they been running ads about.. I got to find english subtitles for that one tho..

What channel is this on? What was it called again? Might check it out even tho I don't watch Spanish television.
Saw it last night, set a series recording. Looks good so far. Should continue to be.
