religious morals? how many hispanic Mormons are out there?

It doesn't matter. If they see Obama as not religious enough especially in light of his support for civil unions, he's not getting their vote. A lot of latin people are conservative and the only reason they don't fukk with the republican party is because too many of its members are either low key or overt racists and appease corporate interests and throw the working man under the bus.

 False. That is a myth that is being dispelled by academics...recently anyways. The Latin vote is not homogenous. Cubans and some Mexicans are conservative.... There are a whole lot more Hispanics that tend to vote Democrat due to social issues... Also, I'll try to find the polls that indicate that Hispanics are much more concerned about the economy/unemployment than immigration. This election is dependent on the Independent voters (which many Hispanics are) and the Latin vote. Once, the campaign heats up more, we should see a huge swing in Obama's direction. Romney will not get it because of this... Plus most Republicans don't even back him. :smugdraper:

Latin voters are overwhelmingly conservative on social issues though which falls in line with the Repubs.

Also if the discussion is about deporting illegal aliens then I don't see what the problem would be with Romney still having 30% of the Hispanic vote. Obama has been deporting Mexicans in record numbers during his first term yet he has more Hispanic support than Romney does.

That is what I thought... But that is not the case....anymore. It is a myth that I found strange when I found it wasn't true.

Same exact reason why poor whites follow republicans, even though they don't give two flying fukks about their dirtball trailer park asses.

It's easy to appeal to a group who shares common views, phobias, and bigotry.

My family is littered with God fearing Puerto Ricans who do all sort of sinful shyt but think homosexuals are going to hell and that the Bible is the most important thing ever written. They may be hypocrites but they are devout hypocrites.
