When did they start that raw is war intro with the exploding barrels and that apocalyptic type of shyt?

I feel like they started to get edgier after that.

It's bad quality, but this one:

They used to have "Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People" as the intro theme for a brief period too.

I don't know man. You still had the Godwinns and Hillbilly Jim squaredancing and shyt around that time. I'd say it started when they put the Titantron up and changed the whole theme to Raw Is War when the Hart Foundation VS Austin started poppin off.

exactly people.

and to top it all off, this was when vince started screaming "WWF ATTITUDE!!!"

there really should be no argument at all about when the era started. 1st quarter '97. not before or afterwards.

I'd say the 2nd half of 96 lay the foundations of the attitude era.

Austin - KOTR speech and approach after that which includes him goin HAM @ the studios dissin the cops and then the week after goin to Pillmans house with the whole hes got a gun

Ron Simmons as Farooq/NOD puttin Ahmed out of action and everything after that

Taker/Mankinds fued which included the boiler room brawl @ SS96 then we got the 1st Graveyard match in the last PPV of 96 with Taker/Terry Gordy

Sid beatin up Lothario with the camera @ SSeries

Then the 1st 3 months of 97 you get Michaels losin his smile, Austin started comin into his own, especially after the fall out from the Rumble. Raw's set change to the current format. Which was at the start of March that year and the return of LOD to team up with Ahmed for the Chicago Street Fight vs NOD, the signin of Ken Shamrock as he was tagged as the World most dangerous man and the whole build and blow off the Austin/Bret match.

The Raw set change of March 97 does make it easier to say thats the start point of the Attitude era, but there was alot of shyt that happened before that point which fitted more of the attitude era than the era before that
