only fanboys like that movie cuz

I had never read or even heard of Watchmen prior to seeing that movie and I thought it was amazing.

In my opinion the best movies the genre has to offer (in no order):

- Superman

The most magical of them all. The classic myth. The ending is admittedly awful though.

- Watchmen

Explored the depths of "the superhero" like no other movie ever has. Some pretty big miscasts though in key roles imo.

- Winter Soldier

Perfect fukkin tone for a superhero movie. Camp, but not too camp. Serious, but not too serious. Great action, great drama... and a lead character who reminds us all why we look up to these superheroes in the first place.

- Avengers

Just on spectacle alone nothing thus far has been able to top this. Not the strongest film from beginning to end but it's best parts are just so damn good. A comic book fan's wet dream.

The Dark Knight

Love the way it examines good and evil and turns it's opposing forces into living embodiments of order and chaos. Again not the perfect movie, very boring at times... but Ledger's performance alone puts it over the top.

edit: shout out to Iron Man 1 as well.

I Agree with this list but #5 just throws me off. I liked War Zone way better than the 1st Punisher Movie.

Id say X2 or Spider-Man 2. I don't really consider The Dark Knight a "superhero" movie so it wouldn't even be on my list.
