So im watching The Candidate (new will farrell) movie last night....

and it comes to a schene where the dude from the hangover goes to visit his rich father who lives on a plantation.

So the son rings the doorbell and this aunt jemama accented voice answers saying "HOLE ON NOW! I'S A COMIN!" or whatever the fuk it was they had that bytch saying....

the punchline was the door opening and seeing it was this little chinese bytch saying it. shyt wasnt funny

The bytch goes on to say, in perfect english, how the father pays her a extra 50 dollars to talk like that and that it reminded him of the good ol days....

she then picks up the accent again and says so more offense shyt.....

like i said before, the shyt wasnt funny.....but what irked me the most was what the fukk everyone else found so funny about that shyt?

So crackers and c00ns? what exactly about that is funny to u?

i see it like this, in the hangover movie, when they had the little dikk jokes about the asians everybody was all HA HA because alot of people have the perception that asians have small dikks.........Some asians were offended, but there was really no question about what people found so funny in the joke.......

This one, I found offensive and i legitamtly do not know wtf was so funny about it? So what was it?

It's racial humor, it's saying that the dudes wanted things like the old days, when they had slaves, it's slightly boundary pushing, but pretty tame, really. It wasn't that funny, neither was the movie, but I didn't find it offensive, or ugly, a little distasteful, sure. But, we are talking Will Ferrell comedy here. Did you see him on 'Eastbound & Down' last season? Now that was funny, and went way further then that little bit in 'The Campaign'. I am not black though, so there is that.

But, that was the set up for the joke, everytime she talks, I recalled that set up, which is different from the typical 'black mamma' role, which do find distasteful and ugly. I get what you are saying, but I think there is less present, then you think.
