It was right around the corner from the actual site of the Million Man March, and on August 24th the "main" rally for Trayvon will most likely be exactly at the same location. Just seeing if anyone else went?
Myself and my family had a great time. I only seen myself and my pplz wearing hoodies unfortunately but I'm not mad at that.
As soon as we parked, we walked about a block to a stop light. Then there was police escorting a bunch of Negros.
Some had signs/etc. (so did we) and most of them shouted "Come with us" which was already what I was thinking so we joined there march.
Of course they was shoutin the "No justice, No peace" chants. Had a few others in there to mix it up.
Cars would drive by, some would honk and pump there fist out the window.
I'm looking to my right, white dudes with fancy cameras taking pictures. Everyone else with there cell phones recording us
Next thing I know, a CNN cameraman is walking right next to me recording. I should be all over that.
Once again, myself and my fam was the ONLY people I seen all day in Hoodies so if you see a nikka in a hoodie with a Regular Show hat?
Coli in da hoooooouse :manny:

We finally get to Constitution avenue where the rally was at, but the main speakers were already done I guess?
Just some singing, then the group I marched up there with had the head of the NAN network speak. Afterwards he gave out waters to everyone. I had about 5 waters on me, but none was ice cold so I had to grab one cold one for the road :tu:

Overall it was a thrilling experience because of that long march with Fedz just blocking off every intersection as we approached them. I'll upload some videos to youtube in a lil while. Anyone else go to the DC or any other cities rally?

I just hope we can use this case and the protests and keep the momentum going in regards to other issues in our community. We need protests against the justice department in hopes of ending the disparity in the over-sentencing of black people and racial profiling in general. We shouldn't be just marching so Eric Holder files charges against Zimmerman, this shyt should be WAY bigger than that. Trayvon can be the person who changed how the justice system works for here on out. I rather that than just Zimmerman going to prison. Then we can start our protests about employment discrimination against our people. Obama will ride for us if we keep this going and start the movement. People complain about him doing shyt for gays and Mexicans and not black folks but they do these protests for their issues. It's time for us to step up and do it as well. But something tells me the protests and outrage would end if Zimmerman went to prison which is sad to me.

I'm way ahead of you. The question is whats next? Al Sharpton, King of all thangs nagga. I assume he has as much influence as anyone right now so I'd expect him to either become Reverend Lovejoy or :dead: within the next 34 days to my estimates
