So this past weekend, I had a family reunion whereby the closest connection to this side of the family was literally 2nd cousins for my aunts/uncles...so for me the closest connection was like 3rd cousins. Although, we've been to this family union for years/decades, even my aunts/uncles stated that compared to other sides of the family, although they are familiar with folks, this connection was the least strong. Nonetheless, made some connections with cousins my age so it was all good.
Then the next day on the other side of this part of the family, we a had 100 year birthday for my great aunt, that use to babysit me back in the day. The cousins here are 1st cousins to my aunts/uncles and 2nd cousins at the closest for me. Good times here as well, and was able to make connections with cousins that I hadn't seen in years.
The point is, most of my aunts are from out of town, and the rest of my relatives have left or didn't make it. Hence, I'm the only other relative in town today. That fact that we just celebrated the life of a 100 year old great aunt, really made me think, that I need to spend that quality time with my aunts , so me as the lone nephew or niece today figured I would take them to this new restaurant with an outside patio.
My question is where else can I take four 60+ women to hang out.....I was thinking bowling?? but maybe the movies?? my town is like 100,000 folks in the middle of nowhere, so there ain't a lot to do compared to a big metro area,......
