Damn, do I regret it.

This version adds more, but it's all fluff. The kind of stuff that was edited out for good reason.

This is the first extended movie I've ever bought, and it's likely the last. I also thought I could somehow turn off the extra scenes leaving the theatrical version. Wrong. At least as far as I know.

Anyway, avoid this shyt.

Anyone know if amazon will let me return this? shyt's unwatchable. :francis:

I enjoyed them, but I've been a fan since the books so I'm probably in the minority.

Did you check out the extra feature feauturettes? Pretty cool stuff imo.

Them joints was so long you had to switch dvds

True, but it's still the GOAT trilogy.:wow:

I'm returning the extended version and getting the theatrical one.:yeshrug:
As cool as the extra features are, I don't like the extra 40 minutes they added with filler. They really should've packaged the theatrical version with this. Especially for 60 bucks.

i never watched the movies.. just bits and pieces when they happened to be on at people's places and such.

i downloaded the extended versions.. but when i saw they were like 3.5 hours, i couldn't press play :francis:

guess i'll try out the standard version if i'm not gonna be missing out on anything.

amazon will pretty much let you return anything.. especially if you're a prime member :ehh:

I bought the extended DVDs day one back in the day as well as the theatrical but I only watch the extended once.

I also recently picked them up on BluRay but they're still in the packaging. Still my favorite trilogy though

That's why I copped the Theatrical Trilogy. I also found out that the blu ray picture was at a lower quality, no wonder I wasn't just amazed at the picture.

Can't separate my love of the books from judging the movies:

Fellowship :wow:
Two Towers :francis:
Return of the King :ehh:

Loved the extended editions even more :yeshrug:

Hobbit Trilogy :mjlol::scust::comeon:

I've only read the first book so that's not what makes me love the movies. They are just really damned good.:yeshrug:

The Hobbit trilogy was too much, but if it was condensed into one movie it could have been as good as any of the LOTRs. The Dwarves were dope, the action was dope, Smaug was dope. That white Orc shyt was trash tho...
