SO I am about to pop the question to my girl but got engagement ring question

Im thinking ahead, she the one....she my first and last thought of the day. How do you get her ring size without her knowing? I got my girl's cousin trying to get it for me on the sneak tip just in case. How much you spend on a ring? Im on the zales website right now. Im looking to spend between $3-5K, diamond has to be princess cut and flawless, white gold or platinum. TIA

Get a friend to check ring size for her on the sneak. Buy the ring a half size larger to offset random finger swelling.

You might be able to get a better deal/better diamond from a local diamond broker. When I was looking, those diamonds from Zales/Kay/Jared seemed kinda mop water-ish to me, but I got a good grade diamond from a local place for about 4k (and only spent $25 on a wedding ring).

jus take one of the rings...she has one size up...

hell i dont kno my gal ring size for shyt...n i jus go by her shoe size...jus 1 size bigger..n it always fit for some odd reason...

Just get her any ring that you think will fit her and resize it later.

I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I heard somewhere that ring size and shoe size (in women) are usually the same/very close. I don't know how true that is, but try using that as a reference point.

Take that girl ring shopping, playfully... Like one day browsing the mall. Be like lets go look at rings. You'll learn her size and her tastes. Then go shop around by yourself...haggling ,making deals.

You're in the nyc area so you're better off going to a dealer in the diamond district and negotiating than buying from a chain store. Just make sure the stone comes w a giaa cert. and IF stones are very expensive. You're more likely to end up w some in the VS range but even some of those stones you can't even see the flaws w a loop.
