The 10s were bittersweet for me. That past decade made me felt like I was in a toxic abusive relationship with the WWE lol
They would smack me upside the head with horrible storyline decisions, holding down black talent, and a horrible weekly product, but then try and “kiss it better” with Kofi winning the world title, smaller guys like Daniel Bryan getting a push, and the occasional good match/ppv.
And just like a broken spouse, I stayed hoping they would change, knowing damn well that they won’t
With that being said, I’ve stopped watching Raw and SD weekly, and only check out the highlights and matches if I hear it was good from the Coli or my podcasts.
As for outside of the WWE, the 10s were revolutionary. The arrival of streaming and social media rejuvenated the indies and cultivated some current big names, but the indies will always have a ceiling on it due to the E having damn near a monopoly on the business.
