Phil Collins and ex-wife Orianne may be set to enjoy "one more night" in the honeymoon suite.

The pair, who broke British legal history with their $46.68 million split in 2008, have recently rekindled their romance – and Orianne now believes they're ready to retrace their steps all the way to the altar.

"I call Phil now again as my husband," Orianne, 43, told Swiss newspaperSonntagsBlick. "We are so close that it actually makes no difference whether we are married. But we are determined to get married one day a second time."

However, Collins' rep tells PEOPLE, "While Mr. Collins is happy that he and Orianne are reconciled, remarriage has not yet been discussed."

Orianne is already planning the wedding ceremony and expects it to be very different to the lavish three-day, $600,000 extravaganza the couple enjoyed at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland, where they tied the knot in front of 300 guests including Eric Clapton and Elton John.

"The important difference is that now our children can be there," she said. "I imagine the next celebration will be more familiar and smaller. On our first wedding in 1999 in Lausanne, we had to invite many more people to not disappoint anyone."

Should Collins, 65, and Orianne stroll down the aisle for a second time, it will cap a remarkable turnaround in their relationship. After their 2008 split, Orianne moved to Miami with the couple's sons Matthew, 14, and Nicholas, 11, as well as her son from her second marriage.

Collins, meanwhile, spiraled into alcoholism at his home in Switzerland, filling his days with TV sports, wine and vodka, he told the U.K. newspaper theGuardian earlier this month. In 2009, he sustained an injury to the vertebrae in his neck, which affected his left hand and now means he walks with the aid of a cane. Collins – who started his music career as the drummer for prog rockers Genesis – also struggles to play the drums, the newspaper reports.

Yet, strangely, it appears that ill health has played a big part in drawing the couple back together. Last year, Orianne underwent spinal surgery that left her with a partially paralyzed left leg and stomach. During the four months she was in the hospital, Collins moved to Florida and cared for Matthew and Nicholas.

Six months ago, he bought a house in Miami where the pair are currently residing. "We've been together for a while, and nobody's noticed," Collins recently revealed to Billboard.

Orianne – who has a second round of surgery planned for later this year – described her ex-husband's decision to reconcile as "a great relief," according to SonntagsBlick.

"We were always very close, because of the children. But just last year, I realized that he is indeed the man of my life," she added.

"Love was never completely gone. [It] was just on another level. We've known each other for 22 years, 15 as a couple. Now we feel both the same thing: We should never have diverged. The separation was the wrong decision.

"We are meant for each other."
