thanks for the clarification. my understanding of it is that murder by itself with have no bail but a judge can make the call to set a bond amount on the basis of whatever other charges may be included (like you said possession of a weapon, kidnapping, etc), which to me seems like he could then be bonded out if he had the dispensable cash. my scope is pretty limited so i may be missing an important piece of information there.


edit: i'm also curious as to how he got this gun. if his dad just gave him the money and dylann roof bought the gun on his own then why was no background check run by the dealer? if his dad did indeed give him the gun (or he purchased it from a private citizen) then there needs to be a conversation about why south carolina allows people to do private gun sales without background checks. motherfukker had a pending felony, that means no guns so what the fukk happened?
