Beginning in Batman #21, Zero Year will give us a much lighter take on the origin of the Caped Crusader that we are used to seeing. “I can only tell you I never expected to be drawing Gotham as Scott has it written in the first issue,” Capullo tells Parallel Worlds. “Within the first five pages of the first script, I was like WTF! You know, what is going on in this thing?”

Looks like Gotham isn't going to be as grim of a place in the beginning and then their going to show Gotham going darker.

Wonder what Batman's new origin is going to be? I don't think they're going to keep the witnessing Mom and Dad getting killed angle.
