A man from Arkansas is shot and killed in Chicago as he and his cousin asked someone for directions.
Police say 55-year-old Robert Franklin and his relative requested help from a man Thursday morning, who then jumped into the back of their vehicle and announced he was robbing them. The suspect fired into the car as he got out.
Franklin was hit in the back at least four times.
Franklin’s cousin rushed him to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is underway into where the actual shooting took place, and police are still looking for the person responsible.
