Yes, there are plays/gameplans.

Back when I was living in DE, my friend and his dad were in a hockey league. My friend was straight up :eat: off of one-timers when he skated around the net from behind.

there definitely are strategies. the game just moves so fast it seems like they're just freestyling.

some teams like St. Louis, New York & LA play VERY structured and detailed systems.

Then there's teams like Philly, Chicago, Pitt that freestyle more.

alot of the plays that look like their random are usually set plays.

There's mad strategy. It's hard to pick up if you haven't watched a lot of hockey. There are so many intricacies of the game but it's so fast that it's hard for folk to notice.

Tons. 2-3 3-2, trapping, cycling are all basic concepts.. Then there is filling lanes and what not.. There are way more concepts when it comes to power plays and what not..

Every team has a system..
