I'm in the crib sleepin. I hear some rumbling, normal if you live in an apt building with neighbors. Then I hear some occasional shouts, I'm like is somebody fightin? I tried to ignore it, then I heard it again, about 2 more times. The voice wasn't sayin fight, fight, it was fire...FIRE!!!! so I hop up to the side of my bed trying to make sure I here this clear and I heard it again, FIRE!!! I'm hearing rumbling, so that means people are running out the building. I jumped up, quick as shyt, slid into the first pair of kicks my feet could find, grabbed my jacket
and keys, then jetted. Outside the door I'm definitely hear people movin and rumbling. I'm jetting out the nearest exit and behind me, there's a door that goes to the units upstairs. That's where I'm hearing the rumbling.
My heart stopped, I got my hand on the exit, and I'm pondering "what if there's a baby up there stuck and an old mom can't get to it?" I'm hearing some verbal noise and thumping but nobody is coming through the door.
I let go of the exit and I got to the access door to the stairwell, I'm expecting to open it up and get a face full of smoke and hear screams and such. I took a deep breath and I swing open the door. I see a guy and a girl on the stairwell, his pants was halfway down, they looked as surprised to see me as I was them. They were all over the stairwell so I couldn't get past them. I just shouted "AY there's a fire, yall gotta get outta here!" and I jetted.
It was chilly outside, like 40 degrees and I had to work early in the morning so I just hopped in my car and went to my pops crib and slept in my own room. I wasn't gonna wait for the trucks and all of that. I came back this morning outside was all intact. I went up the access stairwell where my mailbox is and didn't smell no smoke, there was no water in the carpeted hallway. Come to think of it I didn't hear any alarms or signals went I was rushing out.
Glad my shyt was safe though, got that renters insurance on lock. Must've been inside someone else's unit, sucks when that shyt happens. That's life though
Ya'll ever been in or near a fire?
