It's clearly fake. There's a lot of real scenes mixed in cuz they didn't have the budget to rent APD cars and set up crime scenes, but don't think white hat is out there running vine city

I seen the move like a month ago. I knew when more people started seeing this shyt that I was gonna have to hear people argue about how that shyt was real
Of course some of that shyt was authentic, but I have had someone try and tell me the whole movie is real

some parts i felt were real but then other parts i felt were fake like
but the "acting" was so authentic it made it feel weird. like with paranormal activity and blair witch you can tell people were acting. but i swear to god denzel couldnt act that hood and that authentic if he studied for a year. so that made it feel so real to me 
when he got shot and the shooters gun jammed and parts where the camera was far away and it was picking up audio. they were mic'd cuz no way handheld pick up sound like that.
