I'm looking at all the parts I'm going to need and it's still pretty expensive...as expensive as buying it already put together pretty much :wow:

I need a powerful processor preferably quad core 3.4 ghz (the 3rd generation intel i7/i5) and a powerful graphics card with 2 gig memory with a lot of ram at least 8 gigs and hd space preferably 2tb.

There's other things of course but these are the most expensive, these come to about 600!

I'm shopping mostly newegg but is there any place where I can buy parts that won't put my whole tower, just the tower, over 700 dollar range?

Im trying to build a pc that can run skyrim in its sleep!

So help a brotha out if you can :sadcam:

Have you considered a AMD build? I just built a FX-6300 6 core cpu, 8 GB of ram, 120GB SSD, 2 TB hard drive, blu-ray drive, 970 Asus motherboard with usb 3.0, 80 bronze certified 500 watt PSU, AMD 7770 gpu and case with usb 3.0 for $700.00. Its fast as hell. Everything is instant.

Processor: i5-3570k - $220
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...3r-_-Processors+-+Desktops-_-Intel-_-19116504

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-4.html

graph_Intel-Core-i5-3570K.png

StarCraft II = red
Skyrim = black
Far Cry 3 = blue
Average = green

video card: AMD Radeon 7870 2GB - $215 after rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...p=&AID=10446076&PID=6146996&SID=12mf2qxjp38h4

it kills everything else under $300 in the video card range.. nothing really close honestly, and its only $215 after rebate. Youd have to get a $300+ card like a GTX670 to best it.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-4.html

RAM: Corsair Vengeance - 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz (this and ripjaws/G.Skills are pretty much gaming standards at this point and HyperX) - $65 (can find cheaper at local frys for like $50 if you have one near by)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345

or

G.Skill Sniper 8GB DDR3 1866 MHz - $66
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460

Hard Drive: Seagate 1 TB HD - $75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840

you dont really need 2 TB and if you do, you can add it later..

That puts you at $580, without a motherboard power supply and case though.

650 Watt Bronze Certified Power Supply - $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182132

Z77 motherboard (asus) - $115
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293

$785 before your case (cases can be anywhere from $50-200 depending on a lot of things)

but thats also future proofing your computer with your motherboard (you can find a way cheaper motherboard, probably one around $60 that would put you closer to your $700 goal) but ive personally had bad experiences with cheap motherboards so :manny:

heres a list of motherboards thatll work with that computer;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=100007627 600093976&IsNodeId=1&name=LGA 1155

Starting at $40.. which would put you at $710.. but its up to you at that point.

just for fun I made this same computer on originpc.com which will be one of my competitors , it came out to $1792 with the same parts, comes with windows 7 though. Ima be selling computers like this for around $1000 mark.

breh with the shyt u want to get,buying it from a store will be more then what you quoted. First off i recommend getting an AMD processor. They are cheaper but are fast as fukk. I have a quad core 3.8 ghz which can be safely overclocked to 4.2. But still,the way it is is good enough to run any game out. Got it for $129.99. The graphic card will be your most expensive item. Do some research to see which card can run Skyrim with ease. Try getting a refurbished HD as they are typically about $15-$20 off their original price if bought brand new. My whole set up cost me $340. Only think it's missing is a good graphic card. If i got a decent one at $200,then my system would easily retail for $800+
