Michael Cole is in the ring looking very solemn. He announced that Jerry Lawler suffered another heart attack after being ambushed by two masked men in his home. Cole said one of the intruders taped the attack. The footage is shown and Lawler is being beaten all over his house until he collapses on the floor. Cole says that Lawler is alright and resting in a local medical facility and will provide a live TOUT for the crowd later. Cole exited the ring and Smackdown proper started

John Cena came out. A replay from Raw was shown of his match with Dolph Ziggler. Cena made fun of Ziggler and his two minute title run. Alberto Del Rio came out to interrupt. :belip: Del Rio said Smackdown is his show. :comeon: He said the last time they were in the ring together he destroyed Cena. Cena said he was interested in the main event, but since he was here he would have a match with Del Rio on the spot.

1. John Cena pinned Alberto Del Rio. Cena started off with an arm drag that threw Del Rio outside the ring. Del Rio snuck back in and kicked Cena. Del Rio dominated Cena early with punches and a suplex. Cena fought back and went for the AA, but Del Rio countered into an arm breaker. Del Rio jumped from the top rope and missed, leading to the usual Cena moves and 5 Knuckle Shuffle.

Cena went for an AA, but Del Rio reversed into a Backstabber and a near fall. Cena reversed the armbar into the STF. Del Rio made it to the ropes. After more back and forth, Cena jumped from the top rope and hit the leg drop to the back of Del Rio's head. Cena pinned him for the win.

As Cena was walking up the ramp celebrating, Dolph Ziggler came from behind and hit Cena with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Cena and Booker T argued in the back because Cena wanted to attack Ziggler. Booker said Cena can do whatever he wants after Ziggler's match with Sheamus, he doesn't care. He's worried about who attacked Teddy Long last week and the other random attacks in previous weeks.

2. The Great Khali (w/Hornswoggle) defeated David Otunga in 2:00. Not much of a match. Khali and Hornswoggle dancing in the ring was more entertaining than the match.

3. Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Kofi Kingston beat Wade Barrett and The Prime Time Players in 15:00. Kane started off with Darren Young. Titus O'Neil was tagged in and quickly flipped over the ropes to the outside. Bryan was tagged in and flew to the outside, hitting Titus with a knee in the process. Barrett and Kofi were tagged in. They went back and forth shortly and Wade tagged in Young.

Lot of action and more quick tags. Bryan was eventually in and the Players and Barrett kept him in their corner and grounded with submissions. Bryan eventually tagged Kane, who came in hitting all three opponents. Kane hit clothesline off the top and went for a pin. Titus broke up the count and Kofi knocked him to the outside. Kane chokeslammed Young, and Bryan applied the No Lock for the submission win. Very good match.

The PTP randomly attacked Barrett after the match putting him through a table. Titus did his dog bark and dance then argued with Kofi about tagging with two white boys against two black men. He said that Kofi was being a hypocrite. Kane and Bryan were attacked by the Shield as they were heading up the ramp. This time Bryan was the target and he was power bombed off the stage :crazyobama:

Jerry Lawler came on the TitanTron via Tout and reassured everyone that he was okay and that he would personally find and beat both of the men who ambushed him. :aicmon: King said he had a surprise and Vince McMahon popped up. He said Lawler was a dear friend he was going to be by his side every step of the way during his recovery and that WWE is working with local law enforcement to find these guys. A commotion and screaming is heard in the background and Vince and Lawler are attacked by the two masked men. They ripped out Lawler's IV and beat on his chest and knocked out Vince with a bedpan. They then kicked over Lawler's hospital bed. One of the men picked up Vince by the neck and told him no need to get law enforcement involved, he knew where to find them. They also knew Vince's secret so he better play ball. :ohhh:

Damien Sandow came out and picked someone from the crowd to be his apprentice. The fan entered the ring and Sandow asked him some questions to test his intelligence. The guy answered the last question wrong and Sandow knocked him down and gave him the Elbow of Disdain. Tyson Kidd came out and told Sandow to pick on someone his own size and that he may not be as smart as Sandow but was tougher and he wanted a match RIGHT NOW.

4. Damien Sandow defeated Tyson Kidd in 30 seconds. Good pop from the crowd for Tyson. Sandow won in squash. He did a cartwheel on top of Tyson Kidd to rub salt in the wound.

5. Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal defeated The Uso Brothers in 3:00. The crowd was dead for this one. Mahal got the win with a Full Nelson Slam.

After the match Salter and Mahal looked like they were going to beat down the Usos but the Usos started fighting each other. Slater and Mahal decided to beat them down anyway and performed an encore on them. :yeshrug:

Alberto Del Rio is shown laid out backstage. An iron phallus and sombrero are beside him. :pachaha: Ricardo Rodriguez is hysterical.

*Sheamus beat Dolph Ziggler by DQ. Ziggler went to the outside early. He got back in and hit Sheamus with a clothsline, but Sheamus quickly attacked with punches in the corner. Sheamus was knocked outside. Dolph dove onto Sheamus, but Sheamus caught him and slammed him into the barricade. Ziggler eventually regained advantage and scored a couple close pinfalls. Sheamus fought back and went for the Brogue Kick, but Ziggler ducked and hit a DDT. Sheamus put Ziggler in the cloverleaf and Big Show ran down and got Ziggler DQ’d. They attacked Sheamus until Cena ran down for the save and cleared Show and Ziggler from the ring. Sheamus gave Cena the Brogue Kick and told him he didn't need his help, fella.

Dark match

*Sheamus beat Big Show by DQ in a World Hvt. Championship match. Show hit Sheamus with a chair for the DQ. Show threw Sheamus in the ring to hit him with a chair, but Sheamus ducked and hit the Brogue Kick. Tensai ran out and attacked Sheamus along with John Laurinaitis. Sheamus recovers and Brogue Kicks them both. Cena comes back in the ring hits the AA on Sheamus to end the show.

Seems like there was a flood backstage or something according to JBL :russ:

During the middle of a Savio Vega Ringmaster (later Stone Cold) Caribbean strap match the lights went out, lightning had hit the uplink and we had no backup so an entire PPV went off the air.

Mankind was hiding under the ring and had no idea what happened, I was one of the guys who ran out to try and save the ending and put a band aid on something that had never (to my knowledge happened). Minutes later, I was told to wrestle Jake Roberts 'until the PPV was back on the air'. I was out there with Jake and Tim White. The PPV was back on shortly and we showed the matches that didn't happen on Raw the next day.

This was an 'In Your House' PPV I believe. One thing I love about social media, is someone will find it and let me know. It was somewhere in the Carolinas and Collin Raye was there that day singing the national anthem.

Last night was almost a repeat. I was doing commentary so I missed the exact facts of what happened, but here's what I know. I had finished Main Event (Miz was returning from Middle East so I was filling in) and coming back to change my suit and tie to go back out for Smackdown.

I see total chaos. Apparently Dave Kapoor (who is Great Khali's working 'brother') was filming a backstage segment and a light either burst or got too close to a sprinkler and set off the fire sprinklers in the dressing room I had my stuff in.

The force of the water was unreal. Guys were trying to save our stuff in the dark (we all had computers, clothes etc) and also trying to figure out a way to get the water off. The alarm had sounded it looked like the filming of the sinking of the Titanic.

I'm in the room trying to get my extra suit and computer as my stuff was right under the sprinkler, guys were helping me with flashlights in the darkness.

The alarm was saying to evacuate the building.

Triple H had left 'Gorilla' and was directing guys to put towels down to keep the flooding in one area, it was a ton of water. Our whole crew was back there trying to figure out how to keep the water in one room. It was unreal seeing guys trying to stop something minor before it became something major. If all the sprinklers had come on, tons of stuff would have been ruined-fortunately it was only one dressing room

They all finally succeeded. Some guys stuff was ruined, poor Dave Kapoor was just soaked with horrible smelling water.

We tape up to four shows on Tuesdays, not to mention the backstage stuff-an incredible amount. The WWE did what we always do and adjusted to outside forces and taped the shows.

Ah, the joys of taping TV. Just another fun chapter now and some really good TV taped around it.
