1.3 million more viewers than Raw :wow:

Friday Night Smackdown drew the biggest rating of any television show this week with 3.869 million viewers. In fact, Friday's monster number was WWE's biggest television viewership since the April 9 Raw after WrestleMania 34 that drew 3.921 million viewers.

On Monday, what WWE billed the show’s “season premiere,” USA Network’s “Raw” received 2.570 million total viewers

The “Friday Night SmackDown” debut results destroyed “SmackDown Live’s” 2019 averages on the show’s former home, USA Network, and its former weeknight, Tuesdays. There and then, the weekly series averaged 2.066 million total viewers

USA’s final “SmackDown Live” episode received a 0.7 demo rating and 2.57 million total viewers.

Raw and Smackdown have consistently been averaging around 2-2.5 million viewers on USA and on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Smackdown on Fox doing almost 4 million in its first show on a FRIDAY night is a good sign for them. Even with a drop off (after the debut show hype dies down), it almost ensures they will consistently do over 3 million a week on Fox. That’s higher ratings than they were getting on USA.

I wonder if the actual rating will be down though since this has more households available and potential viewers?

Viewership is all that matters. The only reason some companies break down all of the other stuff like “target demos”, etc. is to try and make a rating look better than it really was.

Example: “we hit our target demo of 18-35 year olds!” (but the show only drew 500k views)

At the end of the day Smackdown on Fox had almost 4 million viewers last night regardless of how some will try and spin it or list it.

Nah I don't think it works like that tbh the rating is what matters more from an advertising standpoint and the 18-35 key demo is really what the advertisers care about.

As Trips loved saying the past couple of weeks - let’s see them do it consistently before rushing to any judgements.
