On the heels of Raw's ratings rebound from Monday night, this week's SmackDown also drew the brand's biggest numbers of 2019.
Tuesday's SmackDown averaged 2.269 million viewers on the USA Network, which is the show's best audience since November 13, 2018. The rating in the 18-49 demo was a 0.75.
SmackDown topped the night on cable in that demo. It finished ninth in terms of total viewership on cable.
SmackDown retained 82 percent of Raw's audience from Monday night. Year-over-year, SmackDown was down 13 percent from the same week in 2018.
Tuesday's SmackDown featured fallout from Elimination Chamber, with it being announced that Kofi Kingston will challenge for Daniel Bryan's WWE Championship at Fastlane. Kingston pinned Bryan in a six-man tag main event before that announcement was made.
WWE had advertised that Bryan's challenger for Fastlane would be announced on the episode, along with a segment where The Miz would issue a "public apology" to Shane McMahon after they lost the Tag Team titles. Ricochet, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, and Aleister Black's debuts from Raw were followed up on, with those four wrestlers also having matches on SmackDown that weren't announced in advance.
