One of those movies that really makes you think. Love how Linklater mixes in interesting anecdotes with philosophy. He introduces us to all these weird ass, deadbeat characters, and then he explains the philosophy that keeps them going
That old dude in the 3rd to last scene sums it up - the more the pain grows, the more this instinct for life, somehow asserts itself. the beauty of lfie is in giving yourself to it completely.
Anyways, the sheer volume of intriguing characters makes Slackers a must-see. Only Linklater could make a truly plotless film with hundreds of characters work
