Skinny Cac Bruh trying to reduce body fat for summer

So I am a little bruh 5'8, 5'9" 155 lbs, but I am in good shape gym five to six times a week and about 15-20 miles jogging a week, but my diet is wack.

My mom is having surgery and I am holding the family down with her and using this as a way to change both of our diets in the process. Basically, I have been able to lose weight in 4 week intervals, but I always fukk up go crazy and ballon back up in weight.

So I need help with the following

I am going to try eat six times a day in small meals, should I just eat similar meals?
what do people eat to get cut, no homo?
I am thinking about getting whey protein for shakes, but that shyt seems like a ripoff every time I do it?
Is the trick really cutting back on sugars?

There is no real advantage to eating 6 times a day unless you would like to.

Do you count calories or macros in any form?

Depends on what you mean as to as someone being cut. At your weight and height if you aren't already cut that likely means you are lacking muscle mass. You are not going to get there by simply dieting down and doing cardio.

These are just based of what you provided. I could be off base of course.

count your calories
watch your macros
eat oats and sweet potato for carbs
cut carbs to a minimum
eat lean meats like chicken breast
good fatty fish like salmon
lots of greens like spinnach and kale (lettuce dont count)
I would say after 5-6PM stop eating anything that would spike your insulin, basically only eat protein and greens after that time, no fruits, no drinks besides water, etc..... These are just some random tips, I use this when I'm not really dieting but trying to watch myself.
