WWE did everything right that night. Chicago was just amazing. That CM Punk walkout was one of the greatest entrances ever.
They coulda really had some fun with that angle had they been willing to use other organizations the way they're now open to.
Punk gets a lotta shyt on this board and he deserves a lot of it but a lot the things he wanted to do later became realities

It's very sad. People used to willingly flock to the WWE, now, the WWE practically has to beg people to come be apart of them, and they look so desperate and pathetic doing that.

I hate comparing WWE to other feds, cause apples and oranges. But....
Lucha Underground has stories, character building and matches, but not the viewership
ROH has the talent and the matches.....
New Japan? People (hell, me) can watch New Japan cause of the matches and storyline is pratically nonexistent. Folks are face characters or heel characters, but the matches are what's important. Faces will wrestle faces, heels vs heels, tweeners galore.
WWE cant seem to get ANY of the above shyt right anymore, despite being the big fish.
Joe vs Brock should have been SO easy to build.

If he had simply said he was tired instead of acting like he was a voice for the locker room when he was speaking for himself, I don't think anyone would have had a problem. He's as much of a narcissist as Cena and HHH before him.
