but I saw a new bruce willis movie, "vice", on youtubeonfire, and that shyt was straight wack sauce. a total rip off of the 1996 movie "strange days" with angela bassett and ralph fienes.

A lot of major actors do this kind of stuff. Most of the time theyre doing favors for friends or its a passion project for them.

In the case of Bruce, with the kind of mediocre direct to video stuff hes been doing, its just about the money. Hell open or star in a major studio movie again when the right project comes along.

Cage been doing it for awhile. Willis has started doing it in the last few years. He's always got some shyt at Redbox that I've never heard of.

I think most of their movies are only DTV as far as the U.S. is concerned. I think some of that stuff gets theatrical releases in foreign markets because aging stars + small studios equals that.

I assume its a quick check and less demanding schedule without the hassle to go around and hype/promote the movie on talk shows which why a lot of hollywood stars are going the straight to dvd route... and I ain't mad :yeshrug:
