Why do you think that there has never been an Indian westling promotion that popped off globally? Bollywood films are popular in many countries, and there are enough internet-based Internet content companies in India where Indian wrestling shows could be promoted to the world. In short, India has the means to push their wrwstling companies tonthe global masses; so why haven't they? Would you be interested in watching wrestling from an Indian promotion?

Boutabag Jarrett was always ahead of the curb :wow:

Jarrett talked about the challenges with setting up in India on his podcast. They don't have the infrastructure and were using people that only had 2-3 matches under their belt. For wrestling over there to truly grow, they would need someone with deep pockets and patience to grow it the right way.

Also even tho wrestling isn't a legit "sport", the fact that India doesn't really have a culture of big sporting events has to hurt

They only recently got the IPL going and even that had to get moved to South Africa one year over "security concerns"

Doesn't have a culture of big sporting events, what? Cricket is like nearly NFL level over there.

They've hosted the cricket world cup and numerous other global cricket competitions quite a few times and will again this year. The Indian Premier League is between the 2nd to 4th richest sports league in the world, depending on which website you want to use, and is valued at 8.4 billion. The most valuable IPL team is valued at 1.3 billion.

Last year the IPL had one match with an attendance of 101,566. In 2019 it had an average attendance if 58,006
