With excerpts of the only team I care about :youngsabo:

WINNER: Masai Ujiri When the Lakers, Sixers and Magic couldn't work out a three-teamer, that led to this moment:

Ujiri [on a conference call]: "So lemme get this straight … you're asking me to flip the Afflalo/Harrington contracts and a future protected pick into one of the league's best defensive players and someone who makes me even more athletic and more defensively frightening? [Prolonged silence as he repeatedly pumps his fist.] No, I didn't hang up, I'm still here … "

He's on the short list of super-respected GMs now. Every move he's made for two solid years has made total sense. If everyone in the NBA was that smart, then nobody would ever trade, and my column would be 27 percent worse.

WINNER: Nuggets fans In less than two years, they went from watching a moody ball stopper who didn't want to be there (Carmelo) to an entertaining nucleus of Ty Lawson, Andre Iguodala, JaVale McGee, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler, Andre Miller and … (wait for it) … Timofey Mozgov! Love the defensive potential, love the athleticism, love the mix of personalities. That's a nice team. You pull the Lakers and Oklahoma City out of their conference and they'd be right back in that thing.

Only a Lakers-bound Dwight Howard could keep the Sports Guy from writing about the Olympics - Grantland

God knows Masai has been golden since he started making basketball decisions for the Nuggets, but I'm still stuck on the fact that we helped the Lakers...:what:

Nevertheless, this might work out. At the very least, Simmons has made me step away from the ledge I have been standing on the past 12 hours.

At any rate, I'm riding with my squad: the Blue & Gold. :boss: In Masai we trust. :violent: Let's go Nuggets! :bustback:

Welcome to the squad, Iggy. Let's do this.

Assuming Iggy plays the 2, that starting lineup gonna be nasty

Still pointless tho because nobody in the West is beating the Lakers now

stopped reading after the Melo diss...youre really gonna reduce him to that?...smh

yeah that comment rubbed me the wrong way

and I'm still not sold on this iggy move

Have y'all seen Melo play?

Melo is a great fukking player but to say the ball doesn't stop when he gets it is disingenuous.

Besides, Simmons was just referencing how the Nuggets played with Melo and now without him, and how we stayed good despite Melo bolting town. Stop riding Melo's dikk and thinking everyone's always unfairly shytting on him. Ball-stopping is a widespread criticism of Melo's game.

and they'll still have the same results at the end of the season. 1st round exit

Put your coli cash up. :smugfavre: All of it. :shaq:

Remember the Bridesmaids scene when they were trying on wedding dresses and everyone came down with violent diarrhea? Howard was all five bridesmaids and Orlando's fans were the wedding dresses.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, being a Magic fan.

And I'll tell you and Bill Simmons the same thing I told Dino Costas a few days ago... Nuggets still won't make it out of the 1st Round.
