A few months back ,I was doing lunges and lost my footing and went kind of side ways, luckily I didn't completely fall over with a barbell and weight on my shoulders so it could have been worse. But I noticed a pain around my bicep area only. I carried on my workout as I only had legs to finish off, went home and next day started feeling it around the front of my shoulder and bicep. I took several weeks off the gym as i was going on holiday anyway. I came back and started back at the gym.

And while I built back up to my training level (I train six days a week) no real issues, but recently it has been playing up again as I am now making huge progress at the gym due to the various supplements Iam taking ,plus the weather,I train much better in the warm weather, motivated to look good on the beach. .It is not just my shoulder, but the bicep ,even the forearm and just walking back to my car with shopping can set it off.

It is odd as training arms doesn't give me much if any pain,in fact training at the time doesn't maybe ,strength is reduced a bit and sometimes I feel things are out of alignment , it is afterwards back home that Iam getting pain. Also sometimes I have workouts ,where Iam lifting similar weights for a similar amount of time and don't get any pain afterwards at all.

Anyone else had a similar problem? what did you do? I could go down the gp, referral to a physio route, ,but the reason Iam reluctant to, as the experience I had with my wrists, I managed to almost bust them both (wiping my ass was a real problem I can tell you), and the doctors were completely useless, advised rest and referral to physio, the physio had me doing completely pointless exercises and only went back to her because she was hot, she made me strap them up,which made them even worse as I then got pins and needles no matter how many times she changed the kind of strap etc etc, I was getting so flabby and sick after 12 weeks I binned the physio, binned the straps and went back to the gym and trained through the pain and eventually they healed up. I would maybe thing that physio was just rubbish but others I know have had crap experiences as well.

-make sure you warm up
-stretch
-don't neglect rear delt
-rotator cuff exercises

I used to have shoulder problems after benching. I have to warm up my rotator everyday, even for squats. Hope that helps bruh

As for your first paragraph, the bicep tendon goes through your shoulder... so it doesn't surprise me that the pain in the bicep goes through the front of the shoulder too. So the bicep tendon goes through a "tunnel" or opening and you can injure it such that the tunnel opening gets swollen. When the bursa swells up, it makes the tunnel smaller. When the tunnel gets smaller, the tendon doesn't freely move through which can cause pain. This is not official medical advice! I am not a doctor. You may need to get an MRI to see into your shoulder.
I don't like going to regular doctors for sports-related injuries because they will blow you off, maybe give you a cortisone shot. I like to go to orthopaedic surgeons. They deal with athletes and sports-related injuries. Your symptoms may raise a familiar red flag so it can be diagnosed better than your primary care physician can. I'm not saying your primary care doctor isn't good, but he or she is not as good as an orthopaedic surgeon when it comes to sports injuries. My suggestion is go to an orthopaedic surgeon.

What? Why? I've had shoulder labrum-repair surgery and so I've read up on shoulder injuries and stuff. I'm actually recovering from a second shoulder surgery now.

i have a somewhat similar isue. i think its bicept tendonitis, or tendonosis... whatever the fukk. in my mind i think its my bursa thats fukked up, fukking with the tendon or some shyt. i can lifft fine, but right after the shyt hurts like hell, and shoulder DOMs on that arm last a little longer.
