On the one hand they're both in their 60s, so they aren't THAT old, but still. The Senate maps in 2024/2026/2028 look pretty bleak for Democrats and nobody wants another RBG situation, so maybe they should just retire and be replaced by younger justices while the Dems can get who they want through. Then again you could argue that them retiring for political reasons is a bad look since the SC isn't supposed to be a political entity.

Younger people are getting more cancers than ever(RiP Chadwick). trying to time death is stupid.

McConnell was supposed to allow the nomination a hearing. That’s it.

Yes.

If those 2 care anything about the integrity of the Court, then they should certainly be ready to step down.

But what are the chances that McConnell tries to pulls the same stunt he did with Garland. Yes, he's in the minority, but that wouldn't stop him from trying.
