If the next XBOX is the lead platform and under powered the PS4 will be held back. Devs won't make use of all that added technology and power.
Exclusives will be the only PS4 advantage.
As much as the PS4 fanatics would like to believe that the PS4 is going to be the lead platform for cross platform games....reality tells us differently.
Microsoft has the advantage because of DirectX (they ARE DirectX) and Windows Gaming. Developing on the XBOX first allows console devs to push button (practically) port to PC's. Allowing developers to make more $$$$$$$$$. PC devs can also easier port to the XBOX. So there's more incentive there. There's no money in developing cross platform games on different consoles simultaneously. The goal is to repeat/port as much code as possible.
This is not a flame thread or trying to start any shyt. Hell, I may cop a PS4.
But if the XBOX is under powered it's going to hold back cross platform games.
