Its been 16 years since they came out and we had to wait till Black Panther to get a science fiction movie with as many fully developed Black male and female characters. Yes, you should watch it. The cinematography is still God tier and the action sequences, even though they were criticized heavily at the time, feel refreshing to watch after a decade of Marvel style fast edits and quick cuts. The action is FLUID and the camera sweeps around the scene like an observer. Theres some dodgy CGI in that Reloaded Burly Brawl fight, but the last fight in Revolutions is insanely well shot.

All true. The problem is that the plot is all sorts of convoluted and incoherent.

You dont even need to think about the plot to enjoy the movie though, you can absorb the movies as action films, especially the 3rd, cause half of that one is a massive war sequence.
The Freeway sequence in Reloaded remains a top 3 chase sequence in action movie history. I think the one unwatchable part out of both sequels in that rave sequence. They couldve kept that shyt to themselves. But everything else held up to me when I watched it a few months ago.

Skip them.:francis:

Honestly, apart from it being the first time teenage me saw Monica Bellucci in a tight dress :takedat: I wish I'd never sullied the first one by watching them.:hhh:

I had to go see the third one TWICE. fukking theatre had an evacuation about 10 mins before the end. Almost didn't go back but it was free... had to sit through that whole piece of shyt again just to see what everyone had already predicted... the longer they go, the less they have any fukking idea how to end it.

First movie is dope , I’m glad I watched while I was older , I can fully apperciate the cinematography and fight scenes

I wanna watch John Wick but I heard his dog dies , and I don’t like seeing animals specifically dogs being killed

The whole shyt with the architect and Merv was bad too. The plot is much less focused, with the Wachowskis seemingly not having a 100% solid idea on what the antagonist would be. The way they just went deus ex machina to keep smith in since he was such a memorable villain in the first made little sense too. The cinematography and fights are fantastic though, no doubt.

Baba Yaga will come after your closest friends and family if you don’t watch John Wick

Watch "The Animatrix". It's better than both sequels.
