No. Its a bad habit. Shows a lack of discipline. Its also a downer so as your buzz wears off so will your work ethic. Before you know it you'll NEED a drink before work which will ultimately bring you into the dumps and assist in your destruction. Physical dependency on liquor is a very terrible vice. What kind of so called pro boxer wants to knowingly give himself a substance abuse addiciton. If you hate your line of work maybe you should study another trade that you can enjoy without getting zooted on intoxicants.
