My financee and I are going back to Africa next year. We're going to Tanzania and Mozambique but I wanted to check Nigeria for a few mainly historical-religous reasons. But I'm hearing it ain't really a good destination if you ain't got people on the ground right now. Can anybody tell me if this is true?

It's not really a tourist country. It's cool to visit though to get the experience.

It's best to have friends Nigerian that know people there to show you around.

Or I would get a guide that would be with you throughout your trip. Like plan picking you up and dropping you off at the airport. And sight seeing things you want to do. If you look foreign and sound foreign they will heckle you from sun up till sun down.

How much vacation time do you have, to be able to touchdown in 3 countries on two coasts?

I'd say 3 weeks. The thing though travelling within africa by air is pricy not as cheap as it is in euro, and you'll prob need to get visas for all those 3 countries. That's why east africa at least is easier in that regards as the east africa visa gives you 3 countries for one.

What is your religion?

Im not Nigerian but my friends who are exercise a lot of caution when they visit. It seems like a place you need to keep your head on a swivel and plan everything ahead of time. And yeah they don’t really have an infrastructure for tourists
