I have been meeting several women that happen to be personal trainers over here in NJ and NY. I've never had one, I always thought personal trainers were a waste of money. What do you guys think about men having female personal trainers?

She's not gonna let you smash.

Trust me. I've tried. :francis:
I'm not interested in smashing trainers, I've actually been smashing women I meet off Yelp. :manny: Im actually asking about the training part. I'd think it would be different having a woman coaching you rather than another man. :dame:

Just like with anything else, check their credentials if you serious. Back when I got certed NSCA and ACSM were the best certs you could get. They could have a degree in the field or kinesiology as well

But that bein said most trainers have bullshyt certs since the field isn't standardized and isn't licensed plus ive never seen a good female trainer if im being honest but 99% of male trainers are trash as well. Its a sales job more than anything else like ive always stated here

What would you want them to help you achieve? Have you seen the results they've got their other clients?

I'd go with whoever demonstrates they can get you results.
Actually taking my body as far as it can go. I work out enough to have muscles and definition, but a trainer might be able to get me right, to a point where I look in the mirror and go :ohhh:

I've never seen a good female trainer if im being honest
What makes the ones you've seen not good?
Usually the female trainers look like they exercise, but are either ripped as shyt and taking drugs, or only look like they do a few situps cardio, not much in between.

Im a trainer and I know this shyt just because its been a hobby for years outside of that so I can tell by how somehow structures their personal and client workouts if theyre good at what they do or not. Too many trainers do too much fad hoppin and bullshyt, im more of a traditional type so take that for what it is.

But that being said, they do shyt moreso to keep their clients entertained and engaged which has its pluses I guess for people with low self motivation who may not stick with working out otherwise. It has its positives and negatives :ld:

The main thing is finding something/someone that youre going to stick with and stay consistent with, the best advice I can give you is fukk everything else and do what works for you breh. if you see someone and like what theyre doin, give it a shot and see what happens

The best workout/routine in the world doesn't mean shyt if a person isn't gonna stick with it or be miserable with it

I had a female trainer a few years ago and she was great. She had all the appropriate certs and was going to school for sports therapy. I used her about 2-3 times a week and got in the best shape of my life. Lost like 30 lbs in 3 months and got lean and cut. I think the biggest help was with form. Regardless of the trainer it’s good having somebody around that’s forcing you to keep the form correct and pushing out that extra rep.

She better have qualifications to take you to the next level. Otherwise, sounds like you just trying to flirt and smash.

regardless of gender, if you're thinking about a trainer, look at their results. ask to talk to current and previous - clients unless you found someone willing to train you for the super low/free because they're just starting out, in which case, hey, someone has to be the first :yeshrug:. anyone else who says they're established should have references.

as for certs, i don't really care about that. a lot of people gain knowledge through having been an athlete (at a high level), transforming themselves, hands on experience, being an apprentice to another trainer, and a whole bunch of other self-taught ways. them certs are money hustles. just like the average joe or jane can learn enough to get themselves into shape, there are great trainers who learned how to train without stepping foot in a class.

depends on your goals but everything being equal, i think you should go with a man just off the fact that i would trust a man to spot me on bench more than a woman :yeshrug:

Depends on what results you looking for. Across the board most the certs have same info .I got nfpt cert what makes them different is they all got continuing credit certs (field of study)where you get ya training style from.that being said if you were looking for strength training or some fast twitch shyt you might not get it from someone who basically majored in Zumba and injury rehab post cert not so much gender based some trainers are hype on that cross fit or other shyt

why hire a female trainer when you can just look up fitness youtube chicks ? unless you some weird nikka who doesnt bag females and into dominatrex nah i wouldnt do it. think about it she only knows really how to train like a woman and maybe she might give you "tips" on your bench game. then you wont get the most out of your money.
