According to scripture this would be acting outside of self. Please note that I'm not trying to get people to abandon their religion, just giving everybody something to think about.
my favorite verse in the bible
Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children
Chapter 1 verse 3 of the book of thomas - Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) imperial rule is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) imperial rule is inside you and outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."
that 1st bolded in thomas is deep , that's calling out all preachers who teach that heaven is somewhere in the sky liars..
but anyways back to knowledge and belief. It's clear that knowledge is important but what kind of knowledge. Just from looking at the world today you can most def see that it's not school education. The verse in thomas says "when you know yourselves, then you will be known". but how many of us know ourselves?
does belief teach the real history of black and white people? how many christian/muslim/jewish people teach that black people were all over the planet earth before columbus. how many teach of the ancient and modern blacks of India, Australia, kemet, china, japan, Americas, Europe, etc etc(this includes all you who say black is not color yet still praise egyptians while dismissing the blacks of Japan, India, Australia etc). Not many. So if these preachers, Imams, etc is not teaching the history of the first people then do you really know yourself black man and woman?
Pythagoras said "Man Know Thyself, and you shall know the Universe and God"
Ok so when we know our self, we'll know god. Should we look in the mirror and get to know our self a little better?
15:28 in the quran says that god made man out of black mud fashioned into shape.
It's a fact that black people are the only ones that can produce white people(outside themselves of course) and humans are the highest form of life that we know of...
So is it then time for black people to start thinking of psalms 82:6????
Jesus himself said we have to know thyself in order to know god and as I've explained, these religious leaders and beliefs are keeping you from knowing yourself which in turn is blocking you from god. If everything we do in life is based on knowledge, why then is the core of our life STILL based on belief? Should it be that way or not???
