I keep seeing different versions of this convo

“So and so should be good for life… why they not rich?”

At what point do they stand on they own or how long should the artist you signed can eat off that past glory

Just a question :francis:

What job you had for 5 years on average that can do this for you. People work 30 years and don't even get a pension they will live off off forever. I think rap fans have completely refused to accept and understand that every entertainer, every celebrity is not rich...the vast majority never were. We want to see them rich because we want to hold on to the dream that it could be us that being famous = making it. In reality entertainment careers are very unreliable and they don't come with a retirement plan

They need stop confusing being famous with being rich.
yep, 99% of rappers are living check to check even in their prime. not everybody is Kanye or Jay-z.
they make a few million in their 20s and gotta ride on that for the rest of their career. the 1% applies to hiphop too

That don't mean shyt. You saw what BG was doing for a living before he got locked up. Back catalogue not selling like that. Show money can be limited. Southern artists don't get good international runs.
BG got locked up for being a knucklehead not cause he couldn't get shows or his catalogue wasn't selling

Juvenile ain't have them issues
