To me, shirataki tastes better than miracle noodles. The trick is that you have to partially "cook" them a little. Make sure you rinse rinse rinse and strain under cold water, then boil it in a pot for 5 mins, then rinse rinse rinse again. I only get the thin noodles, the wider ones taste too tofu-ish for me. It tastes great with Asian recipes. For Italian, make sure that you lay the noodles out on a towel and dry them - they tend to hold a lot of moisture and can make your tomato sauce watery.

Miracle Noodles also sells "rice", which taste more like small tapioca pearls than rice.

@awkwardblackgirl they don't have taste, they don't absorb any sauce or seasoning well, it just tastes like less snappy/dense and more chewy/soft versions of pasta.

I must warn you that you don't nutritionally absorb much of it, they work like fiber and cleanse you -they go out the same way they come in. So if you see a bunch of white wriggly things in the toilet, just remember that you ate the noodles earlier so you don't freak out

I tried some back in undergrad...they were too wormy to me. I just couldn't get into them.
