I've been trying to find this ninja movie I saw when I was six years old. A scene I remember the most is that during what I guess is an endurance test the main character gets burned with coal. Someone put burning coal to his face might have happened a few times in the movie.

Nah, that movie seems too old and I'm pretty sure I remember ninja suits in the movie and the way the burning scene was done the coal was picked up with pincers and then put it to the character's face.
