First of all the entire mystery aura behind nick fury has been lost. Samuel L. Jackson has done a good job with what has been given but please tell me you didn't expect his 'death' to be a life model decoy in Winter soldier.

Secondly, they completely took away from the quality draw of the group by making them essentially pawns and puppets for Hydra since pre ww2. cool for the one off story but

Third, the organization is more than just floating warships that crash, and they did a poor job including ancillary members of the group like Dum Dum Duggan which they should've.

Fourth, SHIELD could've been a series of films and Fury [even as SLJ] could've had a series of James Bond / mission impossible action style movies. It would've been more compelling that the USA network level trash that is agents of shield.

I grew up REALLY liking shield...Nick Fury was one of my favorite comic guys ever cause he was generally a badass and was OUTSIDE of the law type status with Shield. SLJ could've starred in a series of flicks; imagine the driving scene in winter soldier being act 1 of the shield movie...

ah well

The MCU isnt about Shield... it's about the Avengers and other superheroes.... and yes nick fury is a beast in the comics... but apparently, I guess colson and agents of shield will have to do..

I C/S, but it's really not necessary for them to be as focused on. Most of us are here for the heroes, and the studio knows that. The TV show will have to do.

I still wish that Agents of SHIELD was more like Nikita just with super-powered people in it than it currently is. A cool ass spy show would be much better than the watered down Whedon show model that it follows.

Dude I HAAAAAATED Nick Fury in the comics. He was the example of an extraordinary ordinary dude. The writers tried so hard to make that dude have the mystery and cunning of batman, the brain of iron man, the courage of Capt America, etc.

Almost every story he was involved in it was always...

Nick fury always knew...

Nick fury was behind it....

Nick Fury prepared for this....

The writers even made his ass into a galactic hit-man and kill one of the most powerful beings in the universe.

Now that I think about it, I didn't hate him directly, I just hated what bringing him into the story meant.

With as many people bytching about how bland Agents of Shield is, I doubt a movie would be much better.
